Annual Cut Flower Mixture 2.00G
A colorful blend of America's favorite old-fashioned flowering annuals. Some bloom early, some late. There are tall "spike" flowers, others with round blossoms, and airy sprays of "filler" flowers. Packet illustration is a guide only to the contents. Scatter seed in a sunny corner and enjoy an array of lovely blossoms to cut all summer. The more you cut, the more you will have. It is helpful to mix clean, dry sand with the seed. We recommend one to two parts sand to one part seed. Contains Strawflower, Aster-Crego Mixed, Calendula-Single Mixed, Plains

Coreopsis, Bachelor Button-Mixed, Clarkia, Cosmos-Sensation Mixed, Chinese Forget-Me-Not, Larkspur-Giant Imperial Mixed, Gypsophila-elegans White, Corn Poppy, Black-Eyed Susan, Marigold-Crackerjack Mixed, Zinnia-Cactus Mixed, and Godetia. Packet will plant approximately 176 square feet.

California Poppy
Extra Golden 1.25G
Hardy Annual. Silky, golden-orange flowers bloom early on erect, slender stems above lacy blue-gray foliage. Compact plants are drought tolerant and sturdy despite their delicate appearance. California state flower. Excellent for sunny banks, terraces, rock gardens, borders and containers. In dry areas, for easy maintenance, plant with African Daisies, Salvia or Cockscomb. 70 - 90 days to bloom. Grows best in full sun to a height of 12 - 18 inches. Packet will plant approximately 160 square feet.

Four O'Clock
Mixed Colors 7.75G
Annual. An old favorite whose brilliant trumpet-shaped flowers open in late afternoon, remain open all night and usually close before noon the next day. Remains open on cloudy days. Produces colorful blooms of white, shades of red, pink and yellow. Large, bushy plants with neat, smooth leaves are excellent to use as low hedges or as temporary shrubs. Resists city smoke and grime. Especially nice for evening fragrance. 50 - 80 days to bloom. Grows best in full sun to a height of 2 - 3 feet. Packet will plant approximately 465 square feet.

Gourd, Ornamental Mixture
Large and Small Fruited Types 4.00G
Annual. A selection of large and small fruited annual gourd varieties which are decorative and useful. Colorful small fruited types make ideal table decorations. If properly dried, will last indefinitely. Large fruited varieties included. Names are descriptive of their shapes and uses. This packet will plant approximately 20 hills. Packet illustration is a guide only to the contents. Will do best in light and sandy soil. Usually takes full time until frost for large gourds to mature. To dry gourds, wait until fruit is fully developed and hard enough to pick from the vines. Pick before frost. To preserve, avoid bruising and wash thoroughly. Store in a dry,

well ventilated place until thoroughly dried out and hard. Can then be waxed or painted. Contains small gourds including Crown of Thorns, Spoon, Pear Bi-Color, Flat Striped, Orange, Warted, White Apple. Contains large gourds including Dipper, Bottle, Powderhorn and Italian Edible. 90 - 130 days to bloom. Grows best in full sun.

Marigold
Crackerjack, Mixed Colors 1.50G
Half Hardy Annual. A blend of bright shades of orange, gold, yellow and primrose. Huge flowers with gracefully overlapping petals bloom from midsummer to first frost. Very effective for backgrounds. Lovely and long-lasting as cut flowers (remove foliage to prevent it from rotting in the water). 45 - 60 days to bloom. Grows best in full sun to a height of 3 feet. Packet will plant approximately 340 square feet.

Nasturtium
Jewel, Mixed Colors 7.50G
Summer Annual. Semi-double, slightly ruffled, fragrant blossoms are held up above foliage, not hidden. Long stems. Delightful range of delicate colors... yellow, orange and scarlet with a sprinkling of mahogany, ruby and cherry rose. Short and compact vines make this a neat edging and planter-box flower. Flowers and leaves are a tasty, peppery addition to salads and vegetables. 32 - 40 days to bloom. Grows best in full sun to a height of 12 inches.

Sweet Pea
Early Flowering Mixed Colors 7.50G
Hardy Annual. Large, waved, fragrant blossoms in a range of bright colors including red, pink, blue, violet, coral, cream and white. Ideal for greenhouses and for early outdoor bloom. Thrives in cool weather. Can bloom during short winter days. Train vines on trellises, fences or on strings for private screens on porches. Good cut flower.
